After Breakfast at the hotel, we will depart on our chartered motorcoach for Central Vermont.   Pastor Bryan will be in charge of the devotionals each day.

We plan to drive by the Von Trapp Family Resort on our way to Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks.  Additionally, we will make a stop at the Cabot Cheese retail store, Danbury Pewter, and Champlain Chocolate.  

We will make our way to Barre, the "Granite Capital of the World," for lunch.  Did you see that granite zipper?  

Then let's meet our guide at Hope Cemetery for a tour of this beautiful 125-year-old cemetery, known for its hand-crafted stone memorials -- planes, soccer balls, pyramids, chairs, beds, race cars, and so much more! 

We will make our way to Burlington through picturesque Vermont communities.  Dinner will be in that area with the evening for visiting,  games, packing, and rest.

First Baptist Church Georgetown has had a partnership with the pastors & churches of Vermont for close to 20 years.  (The churches were formerly known as the Green Mountain Baptist Association; they are now a part of the Baptist Churches of New England.) An adult mission team has traveled to Vermont most every year to minister to these pastors who serve in a very spiritually dark state.  

Today, the group will be worshipping in one of these churches -- we could easily double the attendance, depending on which church Pastor Bryan is led to visit!

After the service, we will invite the pastor and his family to join us for lunch at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill Cafe.  "Vermont to the Core" is our recommendation for lunch!  The group will have time to shop and enjoy a taste of fresh cider before departing for, our second state to explore.    

You won't want to nap too much as we drive by the Vermont Statehouse in Montpelier and then travel through the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire on our way to our hotel in Augusta, Maine,.

Breakfast at the hotel, devotional on the motorcoach, and then it is time to explore Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, one of the 10 most-visited parks in the US.  Our guide will show us the beautiful sights in the park including Thunder Hole & Cadillac Mountain.  

Lunch will be a lobster fest!  (If you can't or won't eat shelfish, there will be another option.)  

We will be back in Augusta for a light dinner and another overnight stay.

After Breakfast at the hotel, it will likely be an early checkout and departure as we make our way to the Portland Head Light and Fort William.  You will take awesome photos here for sure!  

Lunch may be here, or it could be a lobster or clam roll when we arrive in Kennebunkport, home of the Walker Point Estate, George HW Bush's summer White House.  

After time to explore Kennebunkport on your own, we will continue on to our Boston-Braintree hotel for the last two nights' lodging.  Dinner might be at Quincy Market downtown or somewhere along the way.  

REVISION 5-5-25:  

It will be an early departure for Provincetown / Cape Cod!  

We will board our Dolphin Fleet boat for a 3-4 hour naturalist guided cruise (seating, food, & restroom equipped) to the best whale sighting area on the east coast!   Sightings could include numerous species of whales plus dolphins, porpoises, seals, and sea birds.  Lunch will be onboard the boat with plenty of choices.

Once we are landlubbers again, we will immediately head to Plymouth to board another ship that took a much longer trip -- across the Atlantic 400+ years ago!  Visit the Mayflower II and take a short guided walking tour of the historic waterfront, the original location of the Plymouth Colony. 

Our final dinner together is titled "Eat Like a Pilgrim" with a special guest providing historical context.  

With full stomachs and memories of whales and Pilgrims swimming in our heads, we will head back to our Boston-Braintree hotel to pack and sleep well!

After Breakfast and loading the motorcoach -- for the last time -- we will head into Boston for a highlights tour of the Freedom Trail in this important place in our Revolutionary history.   Stops could include Boston Commons, Granary Burial Ground, Old South Meeting Place, Old North Church, Faneuil Hall, & statues of revolutionary heroes.  

Lunch will be during the tour.  Then the group will pack in all those wonderful memories, shopping treasures, and special friendships before departing for home late afternoon.  It will be a late night arrival in Austin, but you can dream of everything New England in your own home tonight!
